What began as a passion has evolved into something more. I started social media marketing when working at a boutique in high school. I was not very good at the begginning. As time passed I got better and eventually I began to enjoy getting creative and thinking of unique ways to capture the products. When high school graduation neared I realized that a hobby I stumbled upon could become my career. After completing my A.A. a North Florida College I transfered to VSU and majored in the Mass Media program. At VSU I learned the fundementals of creating media, refined skills I already had, and learned new ideas that helped me to where I am in my talents today.

As for my business itself. Well it almost never happened. Upon college graduation I was faced with a decision. I could be employed in house as a social media manager or I could do the scary thing and work for myself. I battled this decision for a while. On the way to graduation I talked to my mom about my options but ultimately got nowhere. I remember thinking, “Lord please give me a sign. What do you want me to do with the life you gave me?”. I was sitting at graduation, listening to the commencement speaker, when God answered my prayer. The speaker said “ When you are faced with two choices you should almost always choose the harder option. The harder option is hard for a reason, the reward is greater than choosing the easy route.” It was then that I knew what I was supposed to do. I chose the harder option and from there Social South LLC was born. This journey is not without its hardships, however I know that this is the path God wanted me to take. I am so grateful for this opportunity and I am so glad you are here!
